At the start of 2019, we were busy refurbishing the non-clinical areas, with general decorating and new carpets throughout.
During 2022, we completed the full surgery refurbishment and renewal , investing heavily in new equipment enabling us to bring you the very best in dental care, as well as providing a safe environment in which we can treat you.
Also during 2022, we welcomed Lucy & Deborah to the Oak House Team. Lucy joins us as a fully qualified Dental Nurse, who has recently completed her Oral Health Promotion and impression taking courses, and is currently working towards her radiography qualification. Deb is currently our trainee Dental Nurse, working towards her NEBDN qualification.
Andrew has expanded his clinical working times, providing additional clinic availability, due to increased demand. Andrew has also completed a further 2 Charity trips to Kenya, with his youngest daughter, Amelia supporting the Smile Star Dental Charity delivering acute emergency dental care to the deprived dental populations in Kisumo & Samburu (Nov 22) and then Mweiga & Masai Mara (April 23).
We are extending a very warm welcome to Sawmea, a Dental Therapist, to the team from January 24. In addition to providing hygiene appointments, Sawmea will also be able to provide your routine dental examinations, x-rays, impressions and simple fillings! Sawmea will be working with us over 4 days per week, vastly improving our appointment availability.
